Settlement

The lawyer’s fee is calculated based on a contract with a client.

The most preferable way of settlement for the lawyer’s services is an hourly rate. Then the client is sure that the money paid is paid for the work performed for his/her benefit and not for any other purpose.

In less complicated cases, a flat rate- an amount of money determined in advance for a particular case- is often agreed on. It is possible, however, to settle on the basis of a mixed form of payment, that is partly on hourly, partly on flat rate basis.

In justified cases we also use various preferential payment systems. Then the amount due can be paid by stages complete or by instalments; however, the first payment must be made on accepting the case by the lawyer’s office.

Bogusław Szpinda’s lawyer’s office does not run cases “on credit” that is where the fee is payable entirely after the case has been closed.
